Polling in West Bengal


Phase 1: March 27

In the first phase of polling in West Bengal, elections will be held for 30 seats in 5 districts that include Purulia, West Midnapore Part I, Bankura Part I, East Midnapore Part I and Jhargram.

The 5 pm day-end planetary position indicates not a good start for BJP compared to gains TMC is likely to have.

Phase 2: April 1

In the second phase of polling, elections will be held for 30 seats in 4 districts that include Bankura Part II, East Midnapore Part II, West Midnapore Part II and South 24 Parganas Part I.

The 5 pm day-end planetary position for the day indicates slight improvement in BJP performance but TMC is will show significant improvement.

Phase 3: April 6

In the third phase of polling, elections will be held for 31 seats in 3 districts that include Howrah Part I, South 24 Parganas Part II and Hugli Part 1.

The 5 pm day-end planetary position for the day indicates slight improvement in BJP performance but TMC is likely to maintain lead.

Phase 4: April 10

In the fourth phase of polling, elections will be held for 44 seats in 5 districts that include Howrah Part II, South 24 Parganas Part III and Hugli Part II, Alipurduar and Cooch Behar.

The 5 pm day-end planetary position for the day indicates slight improvement in BJP performance but TMC is likely to be a looser in this region/ phase.

Phase 5: April 17

In the fifth phase of polling in West Bengal, elections will be held for 45 seats in 6 districts that include North Pargana Part I, Darjeeling, Nadia Part I, Kalimpong, East Bardhaman Part I and Jalpaiguri.

The 5 pm day-end planetary position for the day indicates neck to neck fight between BJP and TMC.

Phase 6: April 22

In the sixth phase of polling in West Bengal, elections will be held for 43 assembly seats in 4 districts that include North Pargana Part II, Nadia Part II, East Bardhaman Part II and Uttar Dinajpur.

The 5 pm day-end planetary position for the day indicates tough time for BJP as compared to TMC which will do a good score.


Phase 7: April 26

In the seventh phase of polling in West Bengal, elections will be held for 36 seats in 5 districts that include Malda Part I, Kolkata South, Murshidabad Part I, West Bardhaman Part and Dakshin Dinajpur.

The 5 pm day-end planetary position for the day indicates a tie between both parties BJP and TMC.


Phase 8: April 29

In the eight phase of polling, elections will be held for 35 seats in 4 districts that include Malda Part II, Kolkata North, Murshidabad Part II and Birbhum.

The 5 pm day-end planetary position for the day indicates slight improvement in BJP performance but TMC is likely to suffer much here.

Conclusion:

This will be a fiercely contested election where BJP will make inroads in West Bengal for the first time yet may fall short of absolute majority, resulting some sort of post poll adjustments.
